Home-Based Care & Support to Bedridden People Living With AIDS

Living with AIDS can be an isolating and overwhelming experience, especially for those who are bedridden and unable to access the care they need. The Home-Based Care & Support to Bedridden People Living With AIDS program is about bringing compassion and essential healthcare directly to their homes in Lira, Wakiso, and Kampala. Through personalized medical care, counseling, and emotional support, we ensure that these individuals are not forgotten or left to suffer alone. By offering dignity and continuous care in the comfort of their homes, this program makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those most in need, helping them manage their condition with greater hope and resilience.

Safe Delivery & Motherhood

In rural Uganda, many expecting mothers face the dual challenges of unsafe deliveries and a heightened risk of HIV transmission. The Safe Delivery & Motherhood project in Agwata Sub-County is working to change this. By providing education on safe delivery practices, HIV testing, and ongoing support, we are ensuring that rural mothers can give birth safely, free from the fear of preventable complications. This program is more than just medical care—it is about empowering mothers with the knowledge and resources they need to protect themselves and their babies, giving them a chance to thrive in the most critical moments of life.

Bicycle Distribution Program

In Uganda’s rural communities, the lack of transportation can mean the difference between receiving timely health care and enduring preventable suffering. The Bicycle Distribution Program is bridging this gap by giving over 200 bicycles to local health volunteers and community leaders. These bicycles are a lifeline, allowing them to reach remote villages to provide essential HIV/AIDS care, support, and vital information on sexual reproductive health. This simple, yet powerful initiative is empowering communities to take control of their health, promoting better access to care and ensuring that no one is too far away to receive help.

Enhancing Agricultural Activities of People Living with AIDS & Widows

For people living with AIDS (PLWA) and widows, providing for their families while managing health challenges can be overwhelming. The Enhancing Agricultural Activities of People Living with AIDS & Widows project is about giving these individuals a chance to rebuild their lives. We work with 100 families, helping them grow more food and improve their incomes through sustainable farming. By providing training, agricultural inputs, and support, we are not just helping them feed their families—we are empowering them with the tools and confidence to live with dignity and independence, despite the hardships they face.

Local Hero Project

Every community has its unsung heroes—those who go above and beyond to care for others. The Local Hero Project celebrates and supports these individuals as they provide vital care to bedridden people living with AIDS. Through this initiative, community volunteers become lifelines, offering medical care, emotional support, and companionship to those who are often forgotten. This project is about more than just health care; it’s about creating bonds of trust and kindness that bring hope to people in their most vulnerable moments, reminding them that they are not alone.

Economic Empowerment of PLWA Widows & Youth

Widows and young people living with HIV/AIDS often face harsh stigma and few opportunities to support themselves. The Economic Empowerment of PLWA Widows & Youth project is about changing their story. By offering skills training and the chance to start small businesses, we are giving them the tools to take control of their futures. This program is not just about providing income; it’s about restoring dignity and hope to those who have been marginalized. Through these opportunities, they can build better lives for themselves and their families, showing that, with support, they can overcome adversity and thrive.

Safe Delivery & Motherhood

This has been implemented in Agwata Sub-County aimed at reducing the HIV/AIDS incidence among childbearing mothers and safe delivery among the rural expecting mothers.

Bicycle Distribution Program

Over 200 bicycles are distributed to rural communities to necessitate care, support, and awareness of HIV & AIDS in addition to promoting community-based health care and information sharing on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights in the communities of Uganda.
